As most of you know {or at least my regular readers, yay thank you, keep reading!} I am a huge fan of the HBO show Girls. On the 1st episode of season 2 Shoshanna is confronted about her excessive use of emojis by Ray. I don’t have many friends who use emojis and I have never had the patients or brain space to learn and remember the multiple commands it takes to make a pirate ship on a regular basis, but I do love receiving them from a select few that have mastered the art of emojis.
My friend Daniella sent this Vulture article to me this past weekend. The mock text conversations made me laugh and I then proceeded to watch the first episode again because I just love the show. My favorite thing about the article is trying to decipher what Shosh is actually saying and how as the conversations progress they get less and less decipherable.
Do you use emojis? What is your favorite and what are the commands? I am thinking about integrating them into some lucky peoples texts.
