JMU
I always pictured myself in a city school, but when I can to tour JMU I knew that the small town of Harrisonburg, VA was the place for me. Some of my favorite things about JMU are
-The shared love of dubbing certain days of the week in honor of foods (who doesn’t love Cheesy Thursdays?!)
-Walking through the Quad on a gorgeous day
-The quietness of an empty hall in a newly constructed building (you should really try wondering the new performing arts building)
-Having people hold the door open for you even though you are a substantial distance away
-Picking up a copy of the Breeze before class
-The energetic professors you get to interact with
-Feeling the energy at a football game even though the crowd still knows there is a huge chance we might not win this one, or the next one, or the next next one
-Finding a cozy corner in the library on Sunday afternoon to finish your school work
-Going downtown at night and having an instant bond with people you recognize from class
-Being able to leave your belongings on a table in a dining hall without fear that they wont be there when you return
-Getting excited to see regular characters around campus (Madison girl, Brother Mica, and the funny gorilla riding a unicycle)
There are so many other things that I love about JMU but when people ask me the main reason I picked JMU I tell them, you walk onto campus and can tell everyone wants to be here, no one goes to JMU because they have to, it is because they want to.

I love jmu and let’s share the passion! I enjoyed sitting next to you in Dr. Clarke’s MKTG470 class.
I love your website! The theme and title are so cute. Also, great post, you give lots of reasons to love JMU!
I found your very individualized summary of JMU both compelling and rich.
I’ve searched, and I still can’t find anyone who, not only doesn’t love cheesy Thursdays, but also doesn’t love JMU
